A classic car show seems like a fitting place to launch a new Morgan, and that’s exactly what visitors to this year’s Pebble Beach event will be treated to. The EvaGT is loosely based on the range-topping Aero Supersports, but has a fixed roof, steeply-raked windscreen and revised side window line, giving it a similar look to the limited-edition AeroMax. Morgan’s teaser pic suggests that the wings have been radically reshaped too.

This will certainly brighten up the Detroit Motor Show! After months of speculation, Mercedes McLaren has announced to the world that the spectacular Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in the New Year. The Mercedes / McLaren collaboration has now come to an end, and the SLR Stirling Moss is the fanfare.
The Aston Martin Lagonda name has been resurrected again, but this iteration promises to be far less controversial than the 2009 SUV concept. Created for a select group of Middle Eastern clients, this large three-box sedan (dimensions haven't yet been made available) offers a well-judged balance between the current Aston Martin range and the idiosyncratic 1970s Lagonda by William Towns. Its proportions are very extreme for a luxury sedan, with a cabin sat far rearwards behind a very shallow A-pillar.
